Details, details, details

Hello world and welcome to week 18 of my weekly blog, as I type it's Christmas eve in Australia and it's hot in my corner of the country and no doubt the rest of Oz as wll. Today will be 33c\91.4f and Christmas day will be 35c\95f, so does that sound appealing to those of you in the Northern hemisphere, or does a hot and dry Christmas just sound all wrong? Now before I get to carried away with what I'm going to say this week, can I say I hope you all have a wonderful festive break with family and friends, stay safe and eat lots of food :)

Okay this week I thought I might do a bit of self promotion and make sure you are all aware of everything that I have setup for my podcast. Of course the first place to start is the show itself, the show is Skerat's Eclectic Podcasts and it is a spin off, of my previous show Synthopia. Essentially the podcast in essence is trying to capture the New Wave, Post Punk and Synth-pop sound of the 80's, but by the newer artists of the 2000's. The tracks I play range from around the year 2000 to the present day. The podcast itself is uploaded on the last Sunday of every month and can be found on my mixcloud page here

Of course I have social media pages setup to support the show and the main ones are my Facebook page 'Skerat's Synthtronica podcasts' this is where all the bands and fans come together to share posts, videos and news about the genre and me the show. I also have a Twitter page here again it serves a similar purpose to the Facebook page. However you also get a sense of my other musical tastes beyond the show, with my daily tweet of Skerat's track of the day. In addition to these pages I am slowly building my Synthopia Youtube page which features acts I have played on both my shows.

Now the last address I'm going to point you towards, is my email link for the show. This one is especially important if you want to send me your tunes for the show. The address is skerat@zoho.com and please as this one has changed very recently, make sure you have updated your mail lists.

Okay what's happening in the scene this week? Well I'm sure there is plenty, but I have not been sent anything. Everyone must be busy with the festive season, so hopefully I will bring you some news next week. This is a big hint for anyone of you who are bands or artists. If you have news, like singles or album releases, concerts etc, let me know via my email address of skerat@zoho.com If it fits in with the blog, I will publish it.
